"all photographs are accurate. none of them is the truth" by Richard Avedon

"if your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough" by Robert Capa

"the most important thing ... is not clicking the shutter ... it is clicking with the subject" by Alfred Eisenstaedt

"a good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart, leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it. it is, in a word, effective." by Irving Penn

"it's important to let your subjects be themselves" by Herb Ritts

"the photograph isolates and perpetuates a moment of time: an important and revealing moment, or an unimportant and meaningless one, depending upon the photographer's understanding of his subject and mastery of his process." by Edward Weston

"One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are。" by Minor White
